App development in Ireland: one codebase, both app stores

One codebase ships to the App Store, Google Play and the home screen. You get the backend, the store submission and both developer accounts enrolled in your name.

  • Apple $99 a year, Google Play $25 once — both accounts yours
  • One codebase for iOS and Android, not two separate quotes
  • Push notifications, offline mode and background sync on both platforms
  • Installable web app that updates the same day, with no store review

$99 a year to Apple and $25 once to Google Play are the only fees before you sign a quote. Your app is scoped and priced in writing, with iOS, Android and web on separate lines.

What you get, on both stores

  • One codebase compiled for iOS and Android, with the platform differences handled screen by screen.
  • First usable version scoped, built and submitted to both stores within eight to sixteen weeks.
  • Developer accounts enrolled in your name: Apple at $99 a year, Google Play $25 once.
  • Store submission handled end to end: listing copy, screenshots, privacy policy and data-safety declarations.
  • Installable web app on the home screen, live the same day, with no store review.
  • Push notifications, offline mode and background sync, behaving the same way on both builds.
  • Backend, database, user accounts and admin panel, hosted in the EU on accounts you own.
  • Source code in your repository from the first commit, with the licence assigned to you.

What does an app cost in Ireland?

€3,000 to over €100,000 is the range Irish studios publish for an app. Most of that spread is one decision: iOS and Android priced as one build or as two. Yours is quoted in writing before work starts.

What the quote covers and what it does not

Included

  • One codebase released to iOS, Android or both, built to the scope you signed.
  • Store listing, screenshots and the privacy and data-safety declarations both stores demand before review.
  • Rejection rounds on that first submission, answered until your listing is live on the store.
  • Backend, database and admin panel, with your staff accounts, roles and passwords set up.
  • Push notifications and offline mode on every agreed screen that needs them.

Quoted separately

  • A second app for a second audience, such as a driver app beside a customer app.
  • Native modules for hardware that the cross-platform layer cannot reach on its own.
  • Brand design from scratch, rather than applying the identity and logo you already have.
  • Releases after handover, on a care plan from €45 a month.

Threshold: a change inside an agreed screen is included; a new screen, role or integration is quoted in writing first. The same rule holds after launch, on the care plan.

Is this the right build for you?

A good fit if

  • You already have customers asking for an app, by name, in writing.
  • Your field staff still carry a clipboard and somebody retypes it into a spreadsheet later.
  • You run a system with logins and orders, but the phone version is missing.

Probably not, if

  • Your plan is a consumer social product chasing venture scale, not a business tool.
  • You need a game, heavy 3D or real-time hardware work, where native specialists beat one codebase.

What it looks like in use

What is included

What this looks like in practice

Cross-platform apps

One codebase compiled for iOS and Android, with the store differences handled where they matter and paid for once.

Installable web apps

Home-screen install, offline use and push notifications, with fixes live the day you approve them and no review queue.

Desktop builds

Windows and macOS builds from the same code, for the depot, workshop or office tool your team runs at a desk.

The backend behind it

API, database, user accounts and admin panel, hosted in the EU on accounts registered to you from day one.

How it runs

From first call to live

  1. 1

    Scope and quote

Scope agreed, then a written quote with iOS, Android and web on separate lines. Nothing is billed before you sign it.

  2. 2

    Your 30 minutes

You approve the quote and spend 30 minutes enrolling the Apple and Google developer accounts in your name.

  3. 3

    Build, submit, hand over

Build, store submission and the rejection rounds are ours. You get the repository, both store accounts and a working app.

0store reviews to ship a fix

An installable web app updates the moment it is published. On a product we run ourselves it delivers push notifications to phones with no submission queue standing between a fix and the people waiting for it.

Two quotes, two builds

  • iOS quoted, then Android quoted again at full price
  • A typo fix waits in the store review queue
  • The app sits under your developer's Apple account
  • Store rejections come back and nobody answers them

One codebase, both stores

  • One build, with the second platform costed as an increment
  • Web app fixes go live the day you approve
  • Both store accounts enrolled in your name, billed to you
  • Rejection rounds answered until the listing goes live

Questions

What clients ask before we start

What does app development in Ireland cost?

Irish studios publish from €3,000 to over €100,000. Yours is quoted in writing. Much of that spread is whether iOS and Android are priced as one build or two. You get the second platform costed as an increment, on its own line.

How long does it take to build an app?

Eight to sixteen weeks for a first usable version, store submission included. Store review adds days on top, more on a first attempt. One rejection round is planned into the schedule from the start.

Do I need a store app or would a web app do?

A web app does the job unless you need deep hardware access. Installable web apps sit on the home screen, work offline and send push notifications. You skip the review queue and Apple's $99 annual membership. Store apps win for background location, in-app digital purchases or a market that shops in the store.

Who owns the app and the store accounts?

You do — both developer accounts and the repository are in your name. Apple charges $99 a year and Google Play $25 once, billed to you. Apple enrols a sole trader as an individual, since it does not register sole traders as organisations.

Is a cross-platform app as good as a native one?

For business apps, yes — the difference is hard to notice. Native still wins for games, heavy 3D and intensive real-time hardware. For booking, ordering, field and client apps, one codebase costs less to keep running.

Can you convert an existing native app to one codebase?

Yes, in stages, starting with a paid review of the existing app. You keep a working version throughout, with each stage released before the next begins. Sometimes the review recommends keeping the app and rebuilding only the backend.
