What clients ask before we start
How much does a website migration cost in Ireland?
€450 for the map and plan, then the move quoted from it. That €450 is credited against the migration. A 40-page brochure site and a 4,000-page catalogue are not the same job, so the price comes from the map, in writing.
What do I need to move a .ie domain?
An Authcode from your current registrar, plus the transfer fee. That fee either renews a domain due for renewal or pays the next renewal forward. Your DNS zone stays with the old registrar, so every record is recreated at the new provider and verified first. Skip that step and email stops on the day the transfer completes.
Will my rankings drop after the move?
A small dip in the first fortnight is normal; a lasting drop is not. Long drops trace back to missing redirects, blocked crawling or content changed on the same day. Your content stays as it is on switch day, and Search Console is watched for 30 days.
My old developer will not give me access. What can be done?
The domain registrar is the first route, acting on proof of who paid for it. Hosting is harder — the site can be rebuilt from what is publicly served and from archive copies. The endpoint is every account registered to you: domain, hosting and analytics.
My site was hacked. Can you clean it and stop it recurring?
Yes — infection removed, entry point closed, then the search warning cleared. The entry point is traced through server logs and the plugin, theme and core versions. Where the compromise has reached the database or the server, the rebuild is quoted before anything starts.
How long does the whole thing take?
Five working days for the map, then the move is scheduled with you. A small site switches inside a fortnight of the plan being signed off. A large catalogue takes longer, and the date is written into your quote.
